Yaeji – Pondeggi (feat. E Wata) 

Yaeji continues her creative evolution with “Pondeggi,” a hypnotic new track featuring E Wata. Following her critically acclaimed 2023 album “With A Hammer,” the Korea-born, New York-based artist crafts a unique soundscape built around cleverly manipulated hand claps that morph into a funky, trap-inspired beat.

The title—a nod to beondegi, Korean street food made from silkworms—provides more than just naming inspiration. It becomes a central metaphor in the Andrew Thomas Huang-directed video where Yaeji herself transforms into a silkworm. The visual narrative follows her character attempting to “save the metamorphosis cycle from disruption by a techno-witch” creating a surreal extension of the song’s themes.
